"We are finally going to put our dwarfes in
barrels,it looks like fun, I would do it myself if I wasn't so busydoing other
things" Director, Peter Jackson.
Join our experienced and friendly guides on an eye opening and exhilarating adventure down the Pelorus and Wakamarina rivers between Nelson and Blenheim in South Island of New Zealand.
No
experience necessary as the tandem Kayaks are incredibly stable and we supply a
full set of safety equipment and dry jackets for those big splashes.
Stunning views of pristine Native forests and
crystal clear deep water pools await you as you cascade down dozens of rapids,
perfectly spaced to allow time to soak up some of the local history of the past
before you are plunging down another.
Whether
this is your first time on the water or if you are an experienced kayaker you will find these rivers have a lot to offer; stretches of challenging white
water, calm deep pools nested in high canyons, relics and scars of the gold and
timber trade scattered along the banks of the winding water ways, waterfalls plummet
from sheer cliff faces to plunge into the river alongside your vessel.
Many native
birds and the long tailed bats rove the forests in the twilight looking for
insects near pelorus bridge; the bats can be seen from November.
